Subsea Disciplines

To support the variety of our client requirements the following subsea disciplines are at hand to give advice, draft proposals or design specifications.

In addition these disciplines can be used to review client specifications and information as an additional resource or extra increment in the checking process.

Controls

The ability to define your technical requirements for control umbilical terminations, electrical flying leads and hydraulic jumpers both for diver and ROV installations.

All aspects of subsea controls interfacing between UTA’s, SDU’s and trees can be undertaken to ensure the correct connections are specified for your particular subsea controls architecture.

Pipelines

Pipeline specialist services to support the client on pipeline system design during FEED, detailed design and execution/installation phases of the project. Services offered include technical review of supplier / client design deliverables.

Risers

Flexible riser specialist services to support the client on Riser system design during FEED, detailed design and execution/installation phases of the project. Services offered include technical review of supplier / client design deliverables.

With an extensive knowledge and varied industry experience focused on flexible riser (and umbilical) projects. Practical experience includes offshore installation of flexible risers and dynamic umbilical’s in shallow and deep water projects.

Structural

Design and analysis of structural components for greenfield and brownfield developments, including topside modules, subsea structures, equipment packaging, repair, maintenance and strengthening schemes.

All designs in accordance with relevant international codes and standards.

Xmas Trees

The capability to create Xmas tree and wellhead specifications in conjunction with best and current working practices.

Flow Subsea can also monitor test and assembly programs as well as system integration testing to ensure systems are fit for purpose and delivery schedules are adhered to.

Interface engineering and project management services for subsea production systems relative to subsea drilling and well completion systems can also be provided.

Mechanical

Supporting the client and other disciplines with a knowledge of Subsea Equipment such as Tooling (EG sampling, actuator removal), Various Connectors, Flowmeters, Mechanical Handling for Pipelay, Smart Plugs, Hotstabs and Pigging Equipment.
Define, Design or Manufacture

Materials

Material specialist services to support the client and disciplines on subsea system design during FEED, detailed design and execution/installation phases of the project. Services offered include technical review of supplier / client design deliverables.

Construction / SIT

Provide safe & robust technical solutions for management & development of DSV/ROV construction/inspection procedures (inc pigging).

Also management & development of site integration testing scopes of work (including contractor selection/management).

QA and Inspection

Covering the UK and International areas, a QA and Inspection / expediting service is offered to include review of the client specification, guidance on ITP and inspection methods to the relevant standards.

During manufacture, inspectors can be deployed to cover all aspects such as expediting, certification review, NDE / NDT, welding including overlay, assembly and test.

Manufacture

In addition to the above disciplines Flow Subsea can undertake the manufacture, assembly and test of the equipment from our base in the North-East of England.
